1rifter ::: Favorites I understand your concern for your child. That is too be expected from a parent. But I think that you failed to realize the consequences of joining the military. I.E. being wounded or killed in action a high probablility. You may disagree with the administration but you loose all credibility. Everyone knows when you freely join, you are in fact saying that you will do whatever the administration thinks is appropriate. chrisolove ::: Favorites Before his unit got back to Germany last December, they were training Iraqi soldiers to take their place. Those Iraqis in large numbers didn't desire to, didn't care, or couldn't comprehend basic training. So what should we do? Should we leave our troops there forever to babysit this Democracy we gave them even though it will never be able to function? 1rifter ::: Favorites I'm not saying we stay there forever. It's unfortuneate that the Iraqi government hasn't stepped up as they should have. We can't just put a date and say were outta here! Just doesn't happen that way! I believe that we thought that the Iraqi government and people would of taken more control over themselves by now. :( Even though Saddam was an evil S.O.B., but I do believe he knew how to rule these animals.. I spoke with some of your boys in my town and thought that I might be to old. They thought that I wasn't to old to join. The Candian army wanted me to be Light Infantry.
