Also Sunday, Palestinian militants disrupted the first day of the new school year in Israel by firing three rockets at the southern town of Sderot. No one was hurt. Here was panic as a Palestinian rocket slammed into a courtyard near a crowded daycare center in the hard hit Israeli town of Sderot, near the Gaza border. None of the 15 children were hurt, but for worried parents it was too close for comfort. It was the second day of school, and the second day in a row that that the city has come under rocket fire. |
