cheersthen ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 21:46:28 Just such an amazing video. My mum and all my Irish family is from Clare, been going over since I was 5. I love Ireland, but I love Co. Clare most of all. I feel the "Celtic Tiger" has changed Ireland for the worse, but this vid reminds me about why I'm so proud of Co. Clare and Ireland. __________________________________________________

UISTMAN59 ::: Favorites 2007-10-28 06:36:25 The TG4 programme referred to is 'Canúintí Ceoil' which can be found on IloveKWvideos. Very interesting programme. One of the first people to speak is Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh, one of my favourite Irish fiddlers. __________________________________________________
UISTMAN59 ::: Favorites 2007-10-25 15:45:54 thanks. all the best. __________________________________________________
flapdan ::: Favorites 2007-10-25 13:49:09 i didnt make a point, i asked a question and your answer was sufficient. __________________________________________________
UISTMAN59 ::: Favorites 2007-10-24 13:14:46 No I am not. What's your point? __________________________________________________
flapdan ::: Favorites 2007-10-23 19:37:28 are you telling me evry country suffered to the same degree? __________________________________________________
UISTMAN59 ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 18:10:07 Cromwell's forces undoubtedly killed many people, including 2600 people after the siege of Drogheda 1649 Cromwell had executed 1200 Enlish soldiers just 4 months before. Hundreds were killed in Aberdeen by the Irish in 1644. Hundreds of Scots covenanters were sent to Barbados just thirty years later. These were indeed 'The Killing Times' No one has the corner on suffering. It's history. __________________________________________________
UISTMAN59 ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 17:51:48 Do you have any doubt at all that Mairead Farrell was there to attack the British Army there? I know of people of strong Irish roots who served in the British Army in Ireland and thought it was not wrong for them. I do not count them as Nazis. __________________________________________________
UISTMAN59 ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 17:48:35 You obviously have no idea where Uist is. I know of at least two Catholics from South Uist who were in the Black and Tans ( I am not sayingthey were right to join them) I am not English. __________________________________________________
no5eyparker ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 11:00:42 Truely a brazen Pom trying to save your hide for what surely must fall upon you and your race! Cursed in the sight of G_d for eternity for your part in the extermination of the descendents of Aaron! __________________________________________________
no5eyparker ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 10:57:15 Cromwell and his butchers slaughtered half of the people in Ireland and then began selling off the rest into slavery, the first white slaves in the Americas. __________________________________________________
no5eyparker ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 10:54:58 Before that in the 1900's the Black and Tans were let lose in an Ireland sick of you English arrogance and butchery. These monsters could have given lessons to the SonderCommnando established to exterminate the Jews. __________________________________________________
no5eyparker ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 10:53:21 Maread Farrell was shot in the back on Spanish territory by the British Nazis along with two of her Irish companions, and thats not so long ago Before that the British Nazi Army along with their puppet Nazis in Ireland were simply hacking Irish people to death, all of that began in the 1970's. __________________________________________________
UISTMAN59 ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 03:29:37 As I said, the Irish have not been exterminated. It would be interesting to know who these experts were. Having an English or Welsh or Scottish surname is not the only factor in defining race or nationality, nor does it neccessarily invalidate an opinion. In Scotland, there is certainly less regional variation in styles than there used to be, and quite a lot of Irish influence in the music - but no-one is setting out on a deliberate programme to 'exterminate' anyone. __________________________________________________ |
