This is not a song to put you in good humour folks. A very simple tune and a simple tale. Hey buddy, what's the time? Is it nearly time to go? Or can I stay here a little longer? I've been travelling so long, with no real destination. No home to go to, no hope, No addiction to fight. I was 33 years old, I was living with a girl. I had a job, a sofa, all the things you need. I bought myself a new guitar, and a bicycle. We were so happy, or so it seemed. But one day, sitting thinking to myself 'You're 33, you're getting fat, you're getting lazy.' So I packed up my guitar and a pair of shoes I liked put some books into a bag, and I left. But one year later, I was banging on the door, I was calling ... "Baby, let me come inside. It's so cold out there, I'm so sorry for what I've done Baby, let me come inside! Cos I wanted to be young, it was my last chance, but now I know I need to be with you. Baby, let me come inside!" That's what I said: You're moving comfortably in German idioms, whereas I escape many a meaning or subtlety in English. And for the story inside: Maybe all evidence led to his conclusion of being guilty, but was there an indication for?
