Description:

The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever Took me about a month to do, This was my 3rd music video. I've hear dthe song so many times, to me it seems that when John sings this song he's contrasting "Strawberry Feilds" (his "heaven") and shows a good and a bad side to it, thats why in the beggining of this video i put bright colors and flowers, (because its showing the "good" side) but as the song keeps on going, he seems to show the "bad" side, which is why i was dressed in all black and the background is either dark, or not full with flowers. I also took advantage of the weird instumentation in the song to use the psychedelic colors! After watching this video, many people have asked me "Do you take drugs?" The answer to that is NO.

P1 Strawberry fields Forver was written by John Lennon at the end of 1966. Recording took a lot of time. The first take- without an orcestra- was completed and put on an acetate for John to listen to. He came to the studio and said he didn't like it. IT was at this time that the mellotron was added to the intro- the most famous appeareance of a mellotron in any song. They then completed the take- Take 7- and once again it was put on an acetate.

Then they did another take, one with an orchestra, and this was also put on to the acetate. John came into the studio about a week later and told Geoff Emerick, the engineer, that he liked the first 59 SECONDS of Take 7 (without the orchestra) and the rest of the other take. The problem was that they were in two different keys. It was Emerick who found out that by fiddling with the sppeds, he could put them in the same key and speed. the edit comes 59 seconds into the song on "going".

This is the best Beatles song by far. Prodigiously Melodic, Surreal and Eclectic, like the most of their songs.
