TimA340 ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 06:19:28 Northstarfish ya do make yourself look sort of silly when you say you trained with a man personally and dont even know his proper name. I can see a typo can happen but not several times the same one. g and j are not next to each other directly :) Great Job as always Frank I trained many team members near the strand years backgood times. Bravo Zulu Sir. __________________________________________________
Erpolpople ::: Favorites 2007-11-24 09:16:18 I'd say: Lots of Pekiti Tirsia derived movement here, although not done 100% properly. Better than most you can see, anyway. @northstarfist: The man is called Gaje. ;-) __________________________________________________
MyBeverage ::: Favorites 2007-11-11 02:54:07 lots of krav maga technique here __________________________________________________
northstarfist ::: Favorites 2007-11-01 15:43:31 Now I know it is better to be judged by twelve than carried by six. But keep in mind what that entails, facing a judge that sees you as an animal that deserves time etc. etc. I had the honor of training with Leo Gage and learning Pekiti Tirsia. Yet in an altercation I would definitely use Leo's knife tactics as a last resort. Leo Gage's knife tactics turn your attacker into something that would make Leather-face look like a prom-queen XD. __________________________________________________
northstarfist ::: Favorites 2007-11-01 15:35:50 Thanks for pointing this out nefariousknight! Too many of us fall into the deception of learning Ranger/SEAL CQB and tell ourselves that we can handle anything. Then after one altercation we find ourselves facing a pissed jury and judge. Don't you love our modern civilized society!? Anyone remember Con-Air and what happened when Nicholas Cage's character fought with the red-neck drunks. He was ex-ranger and used excessive force on a civilian. __________________________________________________
northstarfist ::: Favorites 2007-11-01 15:29:25 This is a really great video! Real tactics all the way. However the comment by nefariousknight is absolutely correct, these types of attacks and counter-attacks will put the judge and jury against you.This is the danger of only training in Special Forces CQB tactics. On the battle field this is completely acceptable, but here on the street even a LEO against a gang of drugged out thugs would be doing considerable time. __________________________________________________
jtadpoll ::: Favorites 2007-10-20 20:48:53 you make a good point dude __________________________________________________

nefariousknight ::: Favorites 2007-09-19 00:50:34 except if you're a civilian and you use that kind of lethal force, you're going to prison for a long time. __________________________________________________
ninja1shinobi ::: Favorites 2007-09-18 15:01:54 That's my favorite movie. __________________________________________________
snakeeyes6 ::: Favorites 2007-09-04 09:49:33 always like to learn how to do those knifefighting techniques just like those between tommy lee jones & benicio del torro in the hunted... simple, swift, & efficient... __________________________________________________ |
